Long history of helping small and medium enterprises transform their IT into professional organizations
Write it down. The first step of moving forward is understanding where you are, where you want to be and then create the path between the two. It really is a simple concept but sometimes you need an outside perspective.
Use a proven method. Start at the beginning with discovery and workshops to create a plan on where you are going.
We work side by side with your organization. Our objective is to help your IT make the transition. We are not in the business to replace an IT department, we help them achieve their goals.
My latest adventure was with TESCHGlobal (TG). First as COO (Chief Operating Officer) and then as President. Last year in 2018 TG made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies. The best thing about making the Inc. 5000 fastest growing list is it happened to be measured from the day I started. That is pretty cool (If I do say so myself). The growth rate over three years was 538.2 percent. When I started there were 4 employees when the report came out we were a combination of 75 employees and contractors in a 3 year time span. It was a fun ride and I really enjoyed being part of it. The focus was Data Management and custom development for startups.
Before TESCHGlobal I was with Quarles & Brady LLP. There I was brought in to redo and restructure the Technology side of IT. Grew the staff from 15 people to almost 50 people to match the growth of the organization. We went from daily outages of file servers and networks when I walked in the door to building a state of the art data center with everything virtualized (VMWare) and replicated to a sister data center. There was a hurricane in Florida that shut down the Naples office. We had the office back up and running in 2 minutes (we spent the next 30 minutes testing the failover because we didn’t believe it would happen that fast) and everyone from the office was able to work remotely. Once they were back up and functioning, we migrated the systems back to the Naples office. As part of my time there I was the IT manager of three office moves (Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago), the opening of 2 new offices (Tampa and D.C) and the shutdown/merger of one (Boca Raton).
Before Quarles I was with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. Originally brought in to do a migration from Windows 98 to Windows XP, I then joined the team to redo their IT driving them to modern IT. Migrated from Novell to Windows and upgrading all of their infrastructure including replacing switches with ethernet powered Cisco and moving from an analog phone system to a Cisco IP phone system. Also, the IT manager leading their move to a new building including being involved as the office was built to make sure their Infrastructure needs would be met.

Create design of where you want to go.
Connect A to B - Develop plan
Once you know where you are and where you want to go, develop the plan to get there
